Sun-Up Hike at Giant City State Park

Lace up those hiking boots. It’s summer in southern Illinois and even though it’s hot and humid, that’s no reason to stop hiking!

Roll out of bed and join the Giant City Park naturalist to get some exercise and take in the early morning woods on one of eight park trails Friday, July 12, from 6:30 to 8 a.m.

Trails will vary from one of three miles and will be moderately difficult with some steep stair climbing.

Meet at 6:30 a.m. at the Giant City Visitors Center at 235 Giant City Road, Makanda, Ill. 62958
