Tentative contract agreement reached with Schnucks

UFCW Local 655 Bargaining Committee recommending unanimous approval

UFCW Local 655 President David Cook has released the following statement after reaching a tentative agreement with Schnucks on a new contract proposal:

Dear Members,

I am happy to announce that we have concluded negotiations with Schnucks and have a tentative contract agreement which has the unanimous recommendation of your Bargaining Committee. There will be a contract ratification meeting for Schnucks members on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Family Arena in St. Charles. We are also anticipating finalizing negotiations with a tentative agreement for Dierbergs and Shop ‘n Save early next week and holding membership meetings shortly after. I’d like to thank you for your patience during this bargaining process. We will make a complete copy of the proposal available online on Monday, Oct. 24.
