Thank you to an old friend

Caseyville – The Southwestern Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council honored Mary Shalapin (right), the director of former Congressman Jerry Costello’s district office, with a plaque expressing appreciation for her help to the trades during Costello’s career in office.  Dale Stewart, Building Trades’ executive secretary-treasurer, presented it to her at a meeting Jan. 25 at Steamfitters Local 439. In brief remarks, Stewart told Shalapin, and dozens of union leaders in attendance, that, “We can’t thank you enough for all the help you have given us.”
