Only $6,772 left with 25 families seeking help. Can you make one more Christmas donation?

With Christmas just around the corner, there are still a number of union families in desperate need of assistance but the $5 for the Fight Fund that provides the help is almost broke!

There are still 25 pending cases needing help and as of Dec. 12, there was $6,772.03 in the Fight Fund. There will be some relief as Laborers Local 110 soon will donate $5,885. But even that is not enough.

Can you add one more important group to your Christmas list? If so, a donation should be mailed quickly to the $5 for the Fight Fund, St. Louis Labor Council, 3301 Hollenberg Drive, Bridgeton, MO 63044.

Or better yet, you can make an instant on-line donation using the secure payment process set up by the Labor Tribune on its website. You can also make a reoccurring credit card donation at the same site.

559 FAMILIES HELPED SO FAR

To date in 2016, your generous support has helped 559 families meet critical obligations for rent, utilities, medicine, medical care, various emergencies, etc. with the Fight Fund paying out $86,217.01. An additional $28,954.58 was paid to help union families from various United Way funding sources.

Please help. There are union brothers and sisters and families that still have not found steady work and are facing a variety of crises. If you’re working, can you spare a little that will help our brothers and sisters a lot?
