5th Annual Clay Bird Shoot to benefit Thomas Schmid Memorial Scholarship Fund scheduled for Aug. 7

The 5th Annual Clay Bird Shoot to benefit the Thomas Schmid Memorial Scholarship will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7, at Blackhawk Valley Hunting Preserve, 1259 Brevator Road, Old Monroe, MO 63369.

Brother Schmid, a third-generation Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 member, died in an ATV accident in 2016 at age 26. He was also a volunteer fire fighter with Orchard Farm and Rivers Pointe Fire Districts and an avid outdoorsman.

Entry for this year’s clay bird shoot is $240 for a four-person team, and include 56 birds per team member.

Prizes will be awarded to first place winners of A, B and C flights.

Silent auctions and raffles will take place during the shoot and the gun raffle winner will be announced.

SPONSORSHIPS
Sponsorship levels are:
Platinum – A donation of $1,000 or more includes a sign at the shoot, Facebook recognition and registration for two teams.
Gold – A donation of $500 includes a sign at the shoot, Facebook recognition and registration for one team.
Silver – A donation of less than $500 includes a sign at the shoot and Facebook recognition.

TAX-DEDUCTIBLE
The Thomas Schmid Scholarship is a charitable organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. Donors will receive a 501c3 letter for tax purposes.
