AAUW of Missouri women’s legislative retreat set for Feb. 11

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) of Missouri is holding a women’s legislative retreat on Saturday, Feb. 11 via Zoom from 9 to 11 a.m.

The AAUW of Missouri advances gender equity for women and girls through education and advocacy. Its vision is equity for all, and its values are non-partisan, fact-based, integrity, inclusion and intersectionality.

During the retreat, several leaders of Missouri organizations will give a brief description of their groups, their main legislative priorities and bills currently being considered in the state legislature.

Additionally, activists from organizations across the state will share information about current legislative issues including the Initiative Petition, Clean Slate, book bans, economic issues, educational issues, gun safety, health and reproductive rights, social issues and voting laws.
