Their legs may be short, but never underestimate the speed of racing rodents as they rip down the track of the Tri-County Labor Club annual Mouse Races.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Mouse Races, open to everyone, will be held Feb. 15 at The Christy Banquet Center, 9000 Veterans Memorial Parkway in O’Fallon, MO.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and first race starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 a couple. Note change of location from the Firefighters Union Hall.

Players take home prizes, and the Labor Club raises funds to support labor-friendly political candidates and issues. Music, draft beer and finger foods (i.e. toasted ravs, meatballs, tacos) will be served. A cash bar will be open for mixed drinks or bottled beer.

“It’s a great time for all. We have outgrown our original race location because the crowd grows every year for this event,” said Tri-County Labor Club President Steve Bailey. “It’s been a huge hit, and a lot of fun.”

This family-friendly event is Tri-County’s largest fundraiser of the year, and helps the club support labor-friendly candidates. Program ads are also being sold and prize donations are needed.
