‘Back Off Our Benefits!’

THE ALLIANCE OF RETIRED AMERICANS is demanding congressional protection of hard-earned benefits for workers and veterans. A cross-country “Back Off Our Benefits” bus tour organized by Courage for America recently held a press conference at Kiener Plaza Park in downtown St. Louis on its way from California to Washington, D.C. and were welcomed by members of the Missouri Alliance or Retired Americans. On April 18, Dave Meinell president emeritus of the Missouri Alliance (center, beneath the podium), visited with St. Louis Central Labor Council delegates to spread the message and was joined by Lucas Kunce (to Meinell’s right), candidate for U.S. Senate, who is seeking to unseat anti-worker election-denier Sen.
