Bricklayers 1 apprentice demonstrates the value of quality training

IN AN EXAMPLE OF THE VALUE of quality apprentice training, St. Louis Bricklayers Local 1 apprentice Josh Rehme took first place in the Third-Year Apprentice Masonry Skills Challenge held during the 2022 Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 World Championship at the World of Concrete Expo in Las Vegas last month. Rehme, of Patrico Masonry, demonstrated mastery and efficiency in completing a challenging project in a timed competition. His first-place award, with a $750 check for his prize-winning wall, clearly demonstrates the value of quality apprenticeship training, not only at Local 1, but in all the St. Louis Building Trades. – International Masonry Institute
