Jennifer Blessing’s birthday was extra special this year thanks to SMART St. Louis.

The Cardinals fan received a call on her birthday June 22 notifying her that she had won four free tickets to the June 27 Cards vs. Cubs game in the SMART St. Louis Cardinals Ticket Sweepstakes.

The contest kicked off the launch of SMART St. Louis, which is a partnership between Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 and 15 of its St. Louis-area residential HVAC contractors who use only highly trained, non-commissioned, union technicians and installers.

The sweepstakes was promoted on the group’s new Facebook page, said Ed Hoganson III, Local 36 and SMART St. Louis director of marketing. More than 100 fans of the page entered the contest.

“It was a great success,” Hoganson said. “We’ll be having more contests in the future, which will include installations of new HVAC equipment and accessories.”

SMART contractors and their employees provide maintenance, repair, replacement and design of residential HVAC systems. The focus is to help customers reduce their overall heating and cooling costs by creating more efficient heating and cooling systems.

With the use of union craftsmen, the SMART initiative sets the bar for residential HVAC work in the St. Louis area, ensuring projects will be done right the first time, on time and on budget. Consumers can have complete confidence when they use the services of a SMART St. Louis contractor.
