CBTU St. Louis Chapter seeking volunteers to help with Juneteenth rally and cleanup

St. Louis – The Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU) St. Louis Chapter is hosting its fifth annual Juneteenth Labor for Black Lives rally and cleanup of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive on Saturday, June 15, with a rally at 10 a.m. at the old Family Dollar parking lot at 4949 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, immediately followed by a community cleanup of MLK Drive.

Unions and affiliates are urged to commit to helping cleanup a four or five block area of MLK Drive between Hodiamont Avenue on the west and Grand Avenue on the east. St. Louis Operation Brightside is providing all the necessary tools, gloves, trash bags and other items to help with the cleanup.
