St. Louis – Next time you visit CITIPARK to catch a soccer game, be sure to give the concession workers a shout out for joining UNITE HERE Local 74.

The 200 workers are employed by Levy Restaurants, which has the exclusive rights to sell food and beverage at CITYPARK. Levy also has exclusive concession rights at Enterprise Center and at America’s Center.

“We knew Levy was coming to town, and we already have contracts with the company for Enterprise and America’s Center,” said Kim Bartholomew, Local 74 president. “We asked them to sign a neutrality card check agreement, and they said ‘Absolutely!’”

Bartholomew said the agreement stipulates that the company will remain neutral in the organizing process and would guarantee it a third-party count of ballots if the vote to join the union was close. She said contract negotiations were scheduled to begin at the end of May.

Located with 250 feet of St. Louis Union Station, CITYPARK is a new, union-built 22,500-seat soccer-specific stadium in St. Louis and the home of St. Louis City SC. For more information, visit CITYPARK at stlcitysc.com/stadium.
