Cornhole fundraiser to benefit children of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 member who died in December

DAVID KARASEK, seen here with his children, died suddenly in December. His friends and fellow members of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 are hosting a Cornhole Bags Tournament fundraiser, May 14 to benefit his children.

Imperial, MO – Friends of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 562 member David Karasek, who passed away suddenly in December, will host a cornhole Bags Tournament & Benefit May 14 to benefit his children, Blake and Kennedy Karasek.

Brother Karasek, 42, passed away on Dec. 13, 2021. He had been a member of Local 562 for 21 years.

The tournament will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at American Legion Post 283, located at 910 Montebello Road in Imperial, Mo. The event will include a cash bar, basket raffle, silent auction, 50/50 and gun raffle.

The entry fee is $50 per two-person team. The first, second and third place teams will receive cash prizes:

  • 1st Place – $300
  • 2nd Place – $150
  • 3rd Place – $50

Supporting sponsors include Local 562, The Crocker Law Firm, National Sales Company, Wholesale Plumbing Supply, Jefferson County Cornhole and Dobbs Tire and Auto.

Smoked Artisan Barbecue also will be on site selling plates of barbecue.

There is a 40 team limit, so players are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Non-players are also encouraged to attend to enjoy the event and participate in the raffles and auction.
