CWA Local 6300 members along with supporting unions, families and friends, took their message last week to Verizon Wireless locations in Creve Coeur, Brentwood, St. Peters, Fenton, South County, Ballwin, Kirkwood, Florissant, O’Fallon and Wentzville. The Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers are on strike over job security and Verizon proposals to close call centers, send call-center work to outside contractors in other states or abroad, mandate increased overtime, and assign technicians to work far from home for extended periods. – Cathy Sherwin photo
