East Alton, IL – The Greater Madison County Federation of Labor is taking nominations for its Labor Leader of the Year and Outstanding Friend of Labor awards, to be presented at the 28th annual awards dinner on March 23 at Julia’s Banquet Center, 101 Eastgate Plaza, East Alton.
The Labor Leader award is to honor a union member who has shown leadership qualities for the leader’s own local and for the Labor Movement. Local unions may submit resumes that highlight nominees’ services and activities by Feb. 23 to Mike Fultz, 2540 Northbridge St., Granite City, IL, 62040, online to mfultz@att.net or call (618) 409-4314.
The event begins with a social gathering at 5:30 p.m. Dinner tickets are $25, and checks can be payable to the Federation and sent to Fultz. Ad book prices are $410 for two full pages, $210 for a full page, $120 for a half page, $70 for a quarter page and $45 for a business card.
