Four Electrical Connection-member contractors ranked among top specialty contractors by Engineering News Record

SACHS ELECTRIC, an Electrical Connection-member contractor, was ranked No. 21 under the banner of ArchKey Solutions in the Engineering News Record’s 2020 Top 600 Specialty Contractors.

The national construction industry trade publication, Engineering News Record (ENR), has ranked four Electrical Connection-member contractors among its 2020 Top 600 Specialty Contractors.

The four contractors are Sachs Electric Co., Guarantee Electrical Co., PayneCrest Electric, Inc. and Aschinger Electric Co. Inc. All of the contractors are members of the St. Louis Chapter of the National Electrical Contractor Association (NECA), which partners with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1 to form the Electrical Connection.

In its recap of the year, ENR noted that specialty contractors shifted into “crisis mode” due to the pandemic.

Revenue had been experiencing double-digit growth for the past four years, and through the end of last year (2019) rose 128.2 percent since the market recovery began in 2011,” the recap stated. “But the pandemic has brought that growth to a grinding halt and caused companies to wonder how to deal with the crisis.”

Despite those challenges, all of the Electrical Connection contractors adapted and moved up in the national rankings.

Among local contractors, Sachs topped the list at number 21 nationally under the banner of ArchKey Solutions. Guarantee Electric ranked 156th, PayneCrest ranked 169th and Aschinger ranked 404th. Meanwhile, Bell Electrical Contractors, Inc. is part of the MDU Construction Services Group, Inc. that ranked 11th in the national rankings.

The Electrical Connection partnership provides safe and reliable commercial, industrial and residential electrical construction, maintenance, repair and replacement services across Missouri, the nation and the world, and is an important resource for business and civic leadership for new technology, including disruptive technologies, advancing electrical and communication infrastructure.
