Go Fund Me account set up for Workers United area director
A Go Fund Me account has been set up for Eric Moore, a 27-year union leader and activist who is currently serving as an area director for Workers United.
Moore, most recently known for his work in helping Starbucks workers organize, was involved in an auto accident on April 4 and sustained fractures in two vertebrae in his neck. The driver responsible for the incident had no car insurance.
Moore was already scheduled to have a C3-C7 cervical fusion in June for pre-existing cervical issues. The accident exacerbated the problem and he is in constant pain. Mobility is also an issue since Moore has a prosthetic left leg.
“We are now having to install a walk-in tub due to the neck and mobility issues,” Moore’s wife Leslie wrote on the Go Fund Me page. “This was an unforeseen major expense so a donation of any amount will help offset the cost.”
