Guest opinions: Rep. Shamed Dogan’s anti-worker, pro-RTW screed is a total lie designed to discredit Labor before next year’s critical vote

EDITOR’S NOTE: Missouri State Representative Shamed Dogan (R-Ballwin) recently wrote a distorted, pro- “right-to-work” opinion piece for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch critical of unions’ treatment of minorities. The hit-piece ignored Labor’s inclusion efforts since the 1970s and instead used decades- and century-old examples to bolster his false argument that labor unions exclude minorities from jobs.

Rep. Dogan’s column was a clear effort to sway next year’s vote on Missouri’s so-called “right-to-work” legislation, and it unleashed a backlash from Labor leaders, politicians and historians quick to expose the fallacy of his argument. Here are a couple guest opinions on the matter:
