The 28th Annual Hershel Walker ‘Peace & Justice’ Awards Breakfast scheduled for May 13 has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The event, sponsored by St. Louis Workers Education Society (WES), will be rescheduled later this summer. This year’s honorees are:

  • Keith Linderer, retired business manager, Operating Engineers Local 148. Brother Linderer spent the past 12 years as business manager of IUOE 148, and 39 years as a full-time union representative. He has been an IUOE 148 member since 1972.
  • The Change the Name Coalition, which is challenging billionaire property developer Paul McKee and his cynical co-opting of the legacy of Homer G. Phillips Hospital.
  • The Missouri Workers’ Center/Amazon Workers, who are valiantly leading the charge to compel Amazon to recognize workers’ collective bargaining rights.

For more information on the event, contact Tony Pecinovsky at 314-583-9152 or at tony@workerseducationsociety.org.
