St. Louis Congratulations to Duane Reed, retired Laborers Local 42 member, who caught Jordan Walker’s first Big League home run for the St. Louis Cardinals on April 5 at Busch Stadium, when the Cards faced off against the Atlanta Braves. Reed, a regular at the ballpark, says he’s caught a few fouls on bounces over the years, “but never an important one.” Reed has been a member of the Laborers since 1978. Prior to Local 42, he was a member of the former Laborers Local 53. He retired in 2011. – Photo courtesy of Duane Reed
