Honoring their sacrifice

I want to take a moment to recognize and honor a St. Louis Police officer who was killed this weekend in the line of duty.

Officer Tamarris Bohannon was 29 years old. My heart goes out to his wife and children. I hope they know that Officer Bohannon is looking down on them now.

Another officer has been released from the hospital after being shot in the leg. Every day our police officers put themselves in danger in order to protect others – eight St. Louis officers have been shot while working since June.

These men and women work tirelessly to protect and serve. I hope we can spend time honoring the sacrifice so many make while fulfilling that duty.
