Once again, as part of their ongoing charity efforts, IBEW Local 1 members and Grasser Electric are donating hundreds of manhours to install all the electrical infrastructure and fixtures in a new home to be auctioned off for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The $565,000 home, by homebuilder Fischer Homes, is being built at the Streets of Caledonia, O’Fallon, Mo. It features four bedrooms and 2.5 baths in 2,800 square feet of living space.

Raffle tickets for the annual St. Jude Dream Home are $100 each, with all proceeds going to the hospital. To purchase a ticket go to stjude.org/give/dream-home/st-louis/ticket.html?sc_icid=dhm-get-ticket-top.

The winner of the new home will be announced later this summer.

ST. JUDE FOR CHILDREN
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Today, thanks to its cutting edge research, a child’s survival chances are 94 percent.

When St. Jude’s founder, entertainer Danny Thomas, opened St. Jude on Feb. 4, 1962, he created an organization as rare today as it was then – a research hospital where children with catastrophic diseases receive free, cutting-edge medical care.

No family receives a bill for their child’s treatment, travel, housing or food, so they can focus on helping their child live.

This year St. Jude is celebrating its 60th anniversary, commemorating the legacy of advances in the understanding and treatment of pediatric cancer and other deadly diseases. As one of the largest health care charities in the country, St. Jude is a unique organization, blending clinical care with scientific research.
