The 3rd Annual IBEW Local 1 RENEW trivia night boasted a sold-out event and raised $30,000 for the union’s relief fund for members in need.

The event, which included a silent auction, raffles and prizes, was organized by Local 1’s RENEW, which stands for Reach-out and Engage Next-Gen Electrical Workers, an apprenticeship social club with a long tradition of engaging young workers and fostering participation.

“It was an incredible night,” said RENEW President Joe Moore. “We want to give a big shout out and thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to fundraise, organize, support and setup for this successful event. It was beyond appreciated by RENEW and Local 1 leadership.”

Moore said RENEW was also grateful for the event’s sponsors who donated items, including Hampton Shoe, Imperial Shooting Sports, Kenrick’s Meat Market, 4 Hands Brewery and Urban Chestnut.

The event was held March 25 at the Local 1 union hall in St. Louis.
