Benjamin “Ben” Adam Sigman, a member of IBEW Local 1439, passed away Dec. 16, 2020 at age 36 in a tragic fishing accident.

Brother Sigman, of Freeberg, Ill., worked in the heavy underground distribution department at Ameren. He formerly worked as a machinist at Total Titanium in Red Bud, Ill. He was a jack-of-all trades and enjoyed woodworking. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Above all, he enjoyed time spent with family, his wife, two daughters and their dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Logan (nee Kilman) Sigman; his two young daughters, Addison and Allie Sigman; his parents, Thomas and Lynn (nee Speiser) Sigman, of Red Bud; two brothers, Randy (Tonia) Sigman, of Freeburg, and Wayne Sigman, of Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Carrie Speiser, of Freeburg; his maternal grandparents, Ron and Jean Speiser, of Freeburg; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Skip and Mary Kilman, of Freeburg; a brother-in-law, Kyle (Katie) Kilman, of Columbia, Ill.; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Mable Sigman, and a cousin, Ronnie Williams.

A private funeral service was held at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home in Freeburg, followed by interment at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Freeburg. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at rennerfh.com.
