Jerry W. Brenning, Sr., a member of Iron Workers Local 392, passed away on March 20, 2023, at his Coulterville, Ill., home at age 66.
Brother Brenning was born on Oct. 1, 1956 in Sparta, Ill., a son to Harry Brenning and Orpha Jean Steele. On Jan. 25, 2022, he married Jody Lynn Bowman in Chester, Ill. He was an avid Nascar fan and his passions were his work and family.
Survivors include his wife; five children, Jaclyn Rae (Zachary) Sisk of Ava, Ill., Janelle Rose Brenning of Coulterville, Jerry Wayne Brenning, Jr. of Coulterville, Sarah Herndon (Steven Wiggers) of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Madelynn Fuquay of Minot, N.D.; two brothers, Larry Brenning of Coulterville and Garry (Jane) Brenning of New Hampshire; one sister, Janice (Steve) Thompson of Steeleville, Ill.; one grandson, Fletcher Sisk, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private graveside service was held at Coulterville City Cemetery, and a celebration of life was held at Time Out Sports Bar in Coulterville on March 25. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
