In Memoriam: Iron Workers Local 392’s Shaun Winkelmann

Shaun Winkelmann, an Iron Workers Local 392 member, died May 15, 2022 in his home at age 42.

Brother Winkelmann was born July 4, 1979 in Nashville, Ill, a son to William John Winkelmann and Margene Elizabeth (Gandy) Krantz. He married Dawn Rackley and together they had a daughter. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking his daughter to batting practice and spending time with his daughter. He never missed any of his daughter’s games.

Survivors include his parents, William (Mary) Winkelmann of Okawville, Ill., and Margene (Doug) Krantz of Walsh, Ill.; daughter, Alexa Jade Winkelmann, of Coulterville; sister, Christi Nelson, of New Zealand; step-brothers, James (Laura) Leonard of Nashville, and Justin Krantz of Coulterville; two nieces; three nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home at 204 E. Locust in Coulterville on June 16 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or Alexa’s college fund.
