IN MEMORIAM: Ironworkers Local 392’s Paul J. Dinga

Paul J. Dinga, a 73-year member of Ironworkers Local 392, passed away Nov. 5, 2019, at Delmar Gardens in St. Louis. He was 97.

Brother Dinga, of Belleville, Ill., was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later joined Ironworkers Local 392.

He is survived by his grandchildren: Lori (Joe Renner) Dinga, of Belleville; Tracy Lake, of Belleville; Angie Spross, of Austin, Texas; Amy (Greg) Parrott, of St. Louis; and Kimberly (Dan) Vogel, of Millstadt, Ill. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Colton, Mary, Erin, Emily, Jacob, Leah and Maelyn.

Brother Dinga was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine “Becky” Dinga (nee Beckman); sons, Dennis and Kenneth Dinga; parents, John and Bridgett Isabelle Dinga (nee Bella); and his beloved brothers and sisters.

A funeral service was held Nov. 8, 2019, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, followed by interment at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.

Memorials may be made to Signal Hill Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warriors Project.
