IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Dale Wild

Dale Edwin Wild, Sr. of Leasburg, Mo., a 44-year member of Laborers Local 110, passed away on Jan. 8, 2023. He was 85. He and his wife Audrey had seven children.

Brother Wild honorably served and retired from the United States Army as a staff sergeant. He didn’t stay idle long and went to work for General Material in Fenton, where he retired after 20 years of dedicated service. He was crafty and enjoyed building models and tinkering with things. He was also quite the storyteller and shared many Army stories through the years. He loved sports and could be found cheering on his children and grandchildren during their sporting events.

Brother Wild was preceded in death by his parents Irwin Walter and Sabra (Beeson) Wild; son-in-law Chris Sharp; granddaughter Rebecca Jane Wild; sisters Pearl Rehg, Janet Borger and Marcia Martin; and brother Herschel Wild.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Audrey J. (Nahlik) Wild of Leasburg; seven children, Dale E. Wild, Jr. of Leasburg; Anne Sharp of Leasburg; David (Tina) Wild of Cuba, Mo.; Michelle (Glen) Roussin of Jefferson City, Mo.; Patrick (Kimberly) Wild of Leasburg, Kathleen (Rick) McKnight of Leasburg; Timothy (Leslie) Wild of Sullivan, Mo; sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Brother Wild was interred at Ft. Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery, Waynesville, Mo.
