IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Jimmie Price

Jimmie Price, a 54-year member of Laborers Local 110 and a fixture at the monthly retiree luncheons, passed away Oct. 16 at 86.

Brother Price, of Cedar Hill, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was fun-loving and lived a life full of celebration. He loved dirt races and raced for 27 years. You could often find him bowling or at the senior center or the Desoto Community Improvement Association hall singing and dancing. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by a brother, Joe Price; three children, James (Teresa) Price, Garry (Anita) Price, and Jeffrey (Lisa) Price; six grandchildren, Mandy (Jim) Evans, Gary Price, Kayla (Ray Little) Price, Leighann (William Harris), Cameron (Anna) Price, and Robert (Rachael Wold) Price; six great-grandchildren, Jimmy Evans, Hayden Price, Chloe Price, Gunner Price, Bryson Price, and Liam Harris; along with many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Maxine Price; his parents, Thomas and Pearl (nee Tullock) Price; and four siblings, Shirley Barton, Jasper Price, George Price and John Price.

A service was held Oct. 25 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, followed by interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill.
