IN MEMORIAM: Laborers Local 110’s Oliver ‘Ollie’ Kube

Oliver “Ollie” Kube, a Laborers Local 110 retiree, died Feb. 26 at age 81.

Brother Kube, of Plattsmouth, Neb., was a man who instantly won the hearts of those around him. He took pride in his work, enjoyed spending time with his family, and had a passion for fishing, boating and the occasional Bud Light. One of his greatest joys was driving his truck to picturesque camping spots and tinkering in his garage workshop.

He is survived by his life partner Carol Clark, whom he shared the last 22 years with and she owned his heart; his step-children Michala (Troy) Ivey, Brian (Gina) Hodge, Jaime (Keith) Allmeroth, Amanda (Andrew) Graziano; his adoring grandchildren, James (Jennifer) Clevenstine, Kenneth Clevenstine, Heather Brown, Amanda (Tyson) Krolikowski, Keegan Ivey, Shyanne Ivey, Jacob Hodge, Abby Hodge, Cooper Curtis, Nolan Allmeroth; and great granddaughter, Briyanah Clevenstine. Ollie was also dearly loved by his sisters Patricia (Dale) Allmeroth and Kathy (Charlie) Beach.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patty Kube, daughter Lorena Clevenstine, and his parents.

A funeral was held March 8 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, followed by interment St. Paul Churchyard. Memorial donations in Brother Kube’s name may be made to the Salvation Army.
