IN MEMORIAM: Painters Local 2341 member loses battle with COVID-19

Bruce A. Noss, a 30-year member of Painters Local 2341, died May 5 after a strongly fought, month-long battle with COVID-19 in the hospital. He was 62.

Brother Noss, of Florissant, was a hard-working man who was generous with his talents and time and was quick to help anyone who called on him, according to family and friends. He was the life of the party wherever he went. His laugh and sense of humor could light up a room and the faces of the people around.

Brother Noss was the beloved husband of Terry J. Noss; dear father of Shane Noss (Victoria Deak); dear grandfather of Landon Kee, Aurora and Cameron Noss; beloved son of the late Adolph and Maxine Noss; dear brother of the late David Noss; dear son-in-law of the late Michael and Joan Mayor; brother-in-law of Joan Noss, Mary (Michael) Witteried, Michael (Bridget) Mayor, Joan (Tim) Logan, Bill (Karen) Mayor, (the late Anne) Bob Lohlein, Cathy (Louis) Marino, Claire (Paul) Kempf, Beth (Bryan) Blechle, Peggy (Mike) Adderley and Maureen (Brian) Kupferer; uncle of Alex Noss, Kristin (Sean) Mull and Madeline Noss (Nick Lyell); and great-uncle of Elliot and Theo.

A funeral mass will be held June 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church at 1765 Charbonier Road in Florissant. Guests are asked to wear face masks and comply with social distancing. A reception will follow at Terry and Bruce’s home, 410 S. Lafayette St. in Florissant.
