IN MEMORIAM: Painters Local 2341’s Mark Ochs

Mark S. Ochs, age 72, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church; survived by his beloved Wife of 50 years, Patricia Ochs (Hanebery); loving father of Alicia (Shaun) Lieser; grandfather “Meme Papa” of Rylan and River; brother and brother-in-law of Robert (Nancy) Ochs, Dennis (Lynn) Ochs, Charlotte (Jack) Riley, the late Jo Ann (Vernon) Zerr, and Alan (Chrissy) Ochs; and uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Brother Ochs was born on Nov. 10, 1951, in St. Charles, Mo. and is the son of Clarence and Berdella (Powers) Ochs. On Oct. 6, 1973, he married the love of his life, Patricia.

Brother Ochs served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a Gold Card Member (50 years) of Painters and Allied Trades Local 2341. He will be remembered by many, especially for his fun-loving and towering presence accompanied by his warm smile.

Services were held May 1, 2024. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors.
