In memoriam: Painters Local 46’s Les Canterberry

Les R. Canterberry, 60, of Villa Ridge, MO, a member of Painters and Allied Trades Local 46, died Nov. 23 after battling colon cancer. Brother Canterberry was born April 25, 1957 in St. Louis. He is the son of the late Leslie Canterberry and his wife Diane (nee’ Speis).

In addition to his union, Brother Canterberry was also a member of the Missouri Conservation department and Autism Speaks. He was passionate about riding his Harley with friends, painting, fishing and hunting, and most importantly spending time with his daughter, Cortney Canterberry of Villa Ridge, MO, and seeing her graduate.

Brother Canterberry is also survived by his wife Laura Stacey, who he married on September 17, 2017; two sisters Dorcas D. Klott and Dawn S. Crocker; and a brother Craig J. Markowski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.

A memorial service was held on Dec. 2 at Journey Church in. Troy, MO.
