IN MEMORIAM: Stagehands Local 6’s Andrew Amann

Andrew Joseph Amann, a member of Stagehands Local 6, passed away April 30, 2024.

Brother Amann was born on Jan. 5, 1967 to Arnold and Nancee (Wilson) Amann. He grew up in south St Louis and attended Holy Family Church and School and then St Mary’s High School. After high school, he decided it was time to go to “hardy” work and became a stagehand. Andy worked as a stagehand for over 35 years. He was a fixture behind the scenes at The Fox Theatre, Enterprise Center, Busch Stadium, Webster University and other venues.

His family and his friends were a big part of his life. Andy’s heart was almost too big to fit into his chest. He was one of the kindest, nicest, and most generous people you will ever meet. Andy was constantly doing something for someone else. We will all miss him dearly, but to anyone who met Andy, you were lucky, and to anyone who was family or friend, you were truly blessed.

Brother Amann was the beloved son of Nancee Amann (nee Wilson) and the late Arnold Amann; nephew of Marilyn (late Bob) Davis; cousin of Daniel (Bridget) Amann, Mike (Tammy) Davis, John (Tammy) Wilson, Brenda (Jim) Bock, the late Julie Schmitt, Tina (Michael) Sredojevich, Matthew (Lisa) Davis, John (Melissa) Amann, Jeff Amann, Gary Habich, Eric (Teresa) Roesslein, Joshua (Heather) Roesslein; godfather of Miles Amann; and many more cousins and friends.

A funeral service was held at Kutis Chapel in Affton on May 6, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
