IN MEMORIAM: Steamfitters Local 439’s Rick Shawgo

Rick L. Shawgo, 63, died March 9, 2023, in Waterloo, Ill. at his home.

He is survived by his children Beau Shawgo (Rebecca), Ricole Shawgo (Nick), and Jonah (Bridget) Shawgo; grandchildren Mason, Bella, Spencer, and Carson; sister Barb (John) Grant; nephews Russ (Sherry) Wilson, Brady Wilson (Bethany), and Zach (Roni) Grant; niece Jenni (Skip) Hardesty; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Bobbi Jo; parents Delbert & Lois (nee McCarty) Shawgo; brother Roger (Sylvia) Shawgo; and nephew Ray.

Brother Shawgo was a member of Steamfitters Local 439 and United Mine Workers of America Local 1392.

He active member at Shooter’s gun range, and a life-time member of Harley owners group.

As an expression of sympathy his family requests memorial contributions to the donor’s choice.
