Pete Youngcourt, retired business representative for Teamsters Local 688, passed away on March 11, 2022.
Brother Youngcourt retired in 2009 after 40 years as a member. He also served as a trustee on the local’s executive board from 1982 until 2001, was elected several times as a 688 delegate to the International Union Convention, and served on multiple negotiating committees for the UPS contract.
Brother Youngcourt was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served combat duty in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Catherine Youngcourt (nee Meyer); brother Bob (Carolyn) Youngcourt, Judy Kurran-Gladden, Lori Luter and Penny Koenig; niece Stacy Korman and many other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held March 21 at Kutis South County Chapel in south St. Louis County.
