Just in time for Labor Day, Krey Distributing and Grey Eagle Distributors are hosting a Bud Light Happy Hour in support of St. Louis Labor on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 3-6 p.m. The event will include free beer, food and giveaways.

“We’re celebrating Labor,” said Steven Busch, president of Krey Distributing. “We are a union shop here. We have experienced a pretty big decline after the Bud Light social media incident. We just want to say to our friends in Labor, ‘Thank you for your support,’ and thanks to our friends who have supported us through the years.”

Anyone is welcome who is a union member, Busch said.

UNION MADE
Pat White, president of the St. Louis Labor Council, said Anheuser-Busch (A-B) is the only union brewed and delivered alcohol in the St. Louis area.

“It’s made union, bottled union, delivered union. Everything about A-B is union,” White said.

“They want us to help them to promote their product because a small minority of loud mouths are taking money out of local people’s pocket just to make a point.

“This is the only union beer out there,” White said. “We call ourselves good union people, we need to support the good union people that support our stuff.”

TWO LOCATIONS
The happy hour will take place at two locations:

  • Krey Distributing at 150 Turner Blvd, St. Peters, Mo. 63376, which delivers in St. Charles, Lincoln, Montgomery and Warren counties; and
  • Grey Eagle Distributors, 801 Assembly Parkway, Fenton, Mo. 63026, which delivers in St. Louis County, Franklin County, Gasconade County, St. Francois County, Ste. Genevieve County, Madison County, Washington County, and Iron County in Missouri, and St. Clair County, Monroe County and part of Madison County in Illinois.
