A TIRELESS ADVOCATE FOR WORKERS, who has helped countless union families, Roz Sherman Voellinger is retiring Nov. 8 as the United Way of Greater St. Louis’ vice president for Labor Engagement, after 10 years with the agency. Roz previously worked as a Labor education specialist with the University of Missouri. Hundreds of union members, friends and family turned out Sept. 18 for an early “Thank You” celebration at IBEW Local 1439 hall. The happiest among them, her family (left photo, from left) daughter in-law Eileen and husband Cody Voellinger, Roz’s husband Mark Voelinger, holding grandson Trevi, (Roz), her son Derek Voellinger and grandchildren Levi and Verona.
