St. Louis – Laborers Local 660 has donated $1,500 to the Wreaths Across America program at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Local 660 Business Manager Nathan Rose, Local 660 Veterans Committee Chairman Danny Mullins and Secretary-Treasurer Aaron Mumford stopped by the IBEW Local 1 hall in St. Louis Nov. 3 to present the donation.
“This is a good cause,” said Rose. “We like to help our veterans as much as we can.”
Rick Dinnella, a Jefferson Barracks location coordinator and an IBEW Local 1 retiree, reached out to Local 660 for the donation. The U.S. Army veteran is planning to ask other locals in the area to help with funding the program. He said he has also received donations from the Electrical Connection, IBEW Local 4 and IBEW Local 1455.
Wreaths Across America will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on Dec. 16 to remember and honor veterans through the laying of remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
