Belleville, IL – Freeburg High School drafting students learned a thing or two about the Labor Movement recently in a guided tour of the Belleville Labor and Industry Museum. Mike Hutsch (top) explained stencil machines, while Pat Schmeder (center) gave an animated presentation on child labor. Gus Schmeder (bottom) discussed a collection of Union Hall photos. The museum at 123 N. Church St., Belleville, is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Tours can be arranged for other times by calling (618) 222-9430. Information can also be found on the museum’s Facebook page. – Photos by Hans Carpenter of the Labor and Industry Museum.
