Madison County Fed Texas Hold ’Em tournament is Jan. 24

Proceeds benefit the Defense Fund

East Alton – The Greater Madison County Federation of Labor is hosting its 10^th Annual Texas Hold ’Em Tournament Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Machinists Union Hall, 161 N. Shamrock St. in East Alton.

Registration begins at 4 p.m. Play will begin at 5 p.m.

Entry fee is a $35 donation per player.

First prize is $1,000. Other prizes will be determined the night of the tournament.

Refreshments will be available for a small donation. No coolers or alcohol may be brought in.

Proceeds will go to the Defense Fund to help unemployed union members and their families during times of financial crisis to pay rent, mortgages, keep utilities turned on and pay medical bills.

The Texas Hold ’Em is the only fundraiser the Greater Madison County Federation has for the Defense Fund.
