Missouri AFL-CIO BBQ in the Park offers common ground for union members and legislators

Jefferson City – The Missouri AFL-CIO’s annual Barbecue in the Park April 28 offered union members and legislators from throughout the state a chance to find common ground as they relaxed and enjoyed food and drinks away from the rancorous, partisan, turmoil inside the State Capitol

There was a great turnout for this year’s event. With sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s, as union leaders and legislators from both sides of the aisle vowed to keep up the fight to protect workers’ rights against right-to-work, paycheck deception and anti-prevailing wage legislation.
