Missouri AFL-CIO to host 5th Annual Working Women’s Lobby Day at State Capitol March 11

SCORES OF UNION SISTERS and a few brothers turned out for the Fourth Annual Missouri Working Women’s Lobby Day last year at the State Capitol in honor of International Women’s Day. This year’s event is set for March 11.

Jefferson City – In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8, the Missouri AFL-CIO is hosting a Missouri Working Women’s Lobby Day on Wednesday, March 11 at the State Capitol.

The fifth annual event, which is open to all union members, will run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The day will begin at Bone’s Banquet Center at 210 Commercial Ave. in Jefferson City where participants will be served a continental breakfast and discuss the issues facing Missouri working women.

Afterward, union members will walk the halls of the State Capitol and talk with state senators and representatives about what matters to Missouri’s working women.
