NAWIC St. Louis kicks off Women in Construction Week with four events

The St. Louis Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is sponsoring four events to celebrate Women in Construction (WIC) Week, March 1-7, to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction business and the growing role of women in the industry.

The planned events include:

Monday, March 2 – “Moving up – everything you need to know about the job search, resumes and interviews” lunch meeting, sponsored by Barb Johnson and Alyssa Ruff, of the Charles L. Crane Agency, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Construction Training School at 6301 Knox Industrial Drive, Suite 200 in St. Louis. The event, which includes lunch, is co-hosted by the Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI). RSVP to Stephanie Anderson at andersonsteph2010@gmail.com.

Wednesday, March 4 – Exploring Careers in Construction Discussion Panel, sponsored by the Southern Illinois Builders Association and Erb Equipment, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the T-Rex Center t 911 Washington Ave. in St. Louis. Thursday, March 5 – Women in Construction Technology Webinar, sponsored by Viewpoint, from 1 to 2 p.m. RSVP to Jeri Wolf at jeri.wolf@arcadianinfra.com to receive webinar link.
