Jefferson County, MO – Delbert Kinsey, a 25-year member of Operating Engineers Local 513 hasn’t been seen since he left for work on Saturday, Feb. 19. Kinsey, of Lonedell, Mo., works for Mississippi Sand/U.S. Silica.

Kinsey’s wife, Marylou, received a call from her husband’s employer around 6:15 a.m. that he hadn’t reported to work. Afterward, she found his truck near the Big River Bridge near Highways B and C in Morse Mill and called the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

Grant Bissell, the Department’s public safety information officer, said deputies searched the area where the truck was found with search dogs and a drone, along with the High Ridge and Cedar Hill fire departments and the Missouri Highway Patrol’s Water Division. However, they found no sign of Kinsey or any indication of what may have happened to him.

Marylou Kinsey shared a desperate plea on Facebook on Feb. 23 asking for help in locating her husband of 30 years.

“He just celebrated his 56th birthday and was looking forward to early retirement since we had already filed to start the process,” she wrote. “He was looking forward to fishing, hunting and kayaking whenever we wanted.”

Local 513 members describe him as “a great guy.”

Anyone with any information is urged to call the Jefferson County Detective Bureau at 636-797-5515.
