Working as a supply chain for the hundreds of volunteers now making face masks for our frontline of defense against the COVID-19 pandemic, members of Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 are turning out tens of thousands of face mask nose strips vital to keep masks in place. Working non-stop, already producing over 50,000 strips are (photos from left):

  • Samples of nose strips.
  • Cutting strips is Instructor Craig Reehten.
  • Packaging strips in bags of 100 are (from left) Instructors Andy Smith and Reehten and Youth-to-youth Organizer Ryan Gibson.

Get your strips from the the Sheet Metal Workers Training School, 2923 Chouteau Ave. The dropbox is located on the side at the building.

Providing the metal free of charge is American Metals Co. owner Chrissy Nardini. Local 36’s efforts are only one of the many services provided by labor unions to help out during the crisis.
