St. Louis Building Trades Chili Cook-off raises $1,400 for ‘$5 for the Fight’ Fund

THE INAUGURAL Building Trades Chili Cook-off, organized last month by three enthusiastic members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1, has given an early-in-the-year boost to the St. Louis Labor Council’s ‘$5 for the Fight’ Fund, which helps union members in times of financial hardship. More than 100 union brother and sisters turned out for the Dec. 14 event at the Florissant Elks Club to share in solidarity and lots of good chili.
