The National Association of Building Trades Unions (NABTU) is hosting a webinar in lieu of last fall’s Tradeswomen Build Nations (TWBN) conference on Saturday, March 5.

Last year’s 11th annual conference was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The event will begin at 10 a.m. central time, and it’s the first of two webinars NABTU plans to host. The date of the second event hasn’t been announced.

The theme for the online presentation is Women Empowerment in Union Construction and will feature opening remarks from NABTU President Sean McGarvey and LeanIn.Org founder Sheryl Sandberg. Three informational panels will follow.

The annual TWBN conference is for women of all ages and skill levels who work, or aspire to work, in the construction trades. It brings together women from multiple construction crafts to build leadership skills, learn strategies for overcoming challenges and unite around common issues.
