Springfield, MO – UNITE HERE Local 74 has endorsed House Minority Leader Crystal Quade’s campaign to become the next governor of Missouri. UNITE HERE represents approximately 2,500 hotel, casino, and food service workers across the state.
“Our members are some of the hardest working people across the state, working in hotels, casinos, and in the food service industry. Crystal Quade has stood up for people like our members, fighting against anti-union ‘right-to-work’ legislation and for safer working conditions. She’s proven her dedication to working Missourians, and as governor, she’ll continue making people like our members her top priority,” said UNITE HERE International Vice President and Local 74 President Kim Bartholomew.

UNITE HERE Local 74 is the latest in an expanding coalition in support of Minority Leader Quade’s campaign cementing her as the frontrunner in the Democratic primary for governor. They join a list of advocacy and Labor organizations including Missouri AFL-CIO, CWA District 6, SEIU State Council and Healthcare, Missouri IBEW State Conference, UFCW Local 655, the Greater Kansas City, Sedalia, and St. Louis Building & Construction Trades Councils, and the Missouri-Kansas-Nebraska Conference of Teamsters, as well as Planned Parenthood Great Plains Votes, AccessMO, the Missouri Women’s Leadership Coalition, the National Women’s Political Caucus, the Missouri Women’s Political Caucus, the Kansas City Women’s Political Caucus, and the Missouri Chapter of the Sierra Club.
