Downtown St. Louis – Get your teams ready to join the United Way and Labor at Wave Taco for the “Where the City Meets the Sand” volleyball tournament Saturday, Sept. 24 at 1335 Convention Plaza.

Organizers are looking for players and sponsors to participate in this fundraising event for the United Way, offering a great opportunity to get together with friends, have some fun and raise money for a good cause.

The United Way of Greater St. Louis is celebrating a Century of Helping People Live Their Best Possible Lives.

The cost to enter the tournament for each coed eight-person team is $320, which includes tournament play and refreshments.

Program book ads range from $100 to $325.

Along with participating in the tournament as a team, organizations can take part in fundraising efforts through sponsorship or ad book purchases. All proceeds will be donated to the United Way of Greater St. Louis, which supports more than 160 nonprofit organizations serving one out of every three people in the Metro region.

For information on registration, sponsorship opportunities and program book ads, call United Way Labor Liaison Sonja Gholston-Byrd at 314-539-4192 or Rose McCowan at 314-539-4191.
